Vivi and tyler met while attending Rush University in downtown Chicago. They eventually got to know eachother better through their mutual friends. They consider each other best friends and just thoroughly enjoy hanging out together and gossiping about life! But they also don’t mind an occasional outing that may involve going to the arcade, and then a bar for something to eat and a couple drinks. Tyler loves how Vivi keeps things fun and interesting. He mentioned that there is never a dull moment when they are together ! Vivi admires Tyler big heart. She mentions how kind he is and how he is always there to help others. Tyler proposed to Vivi in their dining room while they were having breakfast one morning 🥺 He got up to '“refill his coffee” but nextthing Vivi knew, he was down on one knee asking her to marry him!! AHH they are literally the cutest!!!!

The Vietnamese Tea Ceremony

Vivi and Tyler started their wedding celebrations the week prior with a Vietnamese Tea Ceremony. This ceremony was held at Vivi’s grandma’s house where all their closest friends and family gathered to witness the tea ceremony and enjoy the homemade feast afterwards! It was a beautiful unity of their family’s and the food was delicious 😉

The American Ceremony

A week later on May 7th 2022 their big celebration began!! Tyler was getting ready with his guys at a local hotel while Vivi and her girls got ready at Tyler’s parents house. Vivi opted to do a first look with her friends and it did NOT disappoint!!! I think we all gasped when we saw Vivi for the first time 🥺 We all met up at a local park for their first look and portraits. Tyler seeing Vivi for the first time brought all the tears up again. They could barely contain their excitement as Tyler pulled her in for a big bear hug.

After wrapping up the wedding party portraits we sent the crew on their way while I worked wit Tyler and Vivi one-on-one! They had the most perfect weather for their day and the spring flowers were still in bloom. They also opted to sneak out for some sunset photos mid-reception to get some photos with Tyler’s dad’s car. It was actually his first ever car and carries a lot of sentimental value in Tyler’s family. So it was super important to Tyler and Vivi that they be bale to incorporate that into their wedding day. Total vogue moment 👀

Their intimate ceremony took place on the patio of Franchescos Ristorante. Vivi’s mother walked her down the aisle and as they reached the alter, you could see all the emotions and excitement on Tyler’s face. They shared personal vows with each other. The ceremony was filled with all the laughs and tears as they reminisce on their time together.

The reception was a PARTYYYY. It was truly such a great time and so many laughs were had. They had three amazing speeches and one surprise one from Tyler’s brother. It was so sweet hearing their stories about the couple and how they all got to know each other. After Tyler and Vivi’s first dance they brought the moms out onto the floor and each shared a dance with their moms. The jazz band then instructed the crowd to form an aisle down the dance floor (basically a dance circle) and everyone walked down with a different partner each turn bustin a move. It was SO much fun!!
