Wedding Morning Bliss: Tips for a Seamless Getting Ready Experience

Your wedding day is one of the most special days of your life and the morning of the big day is filled with excitement and magic. With so many things going on, it’s important to make sure that your morning runs smoothly. In this blog post, I’ll be sharing a few tips to help make your wedding morning unforgettable.

  1. Allow Enough Time for Hair and Makeup

The morning of your wedding day is a busy one, and you’ll want to make sure that you have enough time set aside for hair and makeup. Be sure to communicate with your photographer, hair stylist, and makeup artist to get the proper timeline in place. I recommend your photographer getting on site at least an hour before you have to get into your dress. This gives us plenty of time to capture all the little details, candid moments, and finishing touches, including your “getting ready” photos.

  1. Have Your Details Ready

One of the first things I do on your wedding day is photograph all the little details that make your day unique. To make this process as smooth as possible, have a box or bag set aside with all your details. This will save us time and allow us to jump right in and capture everything without any added pressure. Some items to include in your details box might be your engagement ring, wedding bands, jewelry, veil, perfume or cologne, shoes, florals, and invitation suite.

  1. Keep Your Space Clean and Tidy

Getting ready spaces can easily become cluttered, but keeping your space photo-ready is important for great photos. If you can at least keep a spot near a bright window clutter-free, your photographer will spend less time cleaning and more time capturing those special moments. Trust me, you don’t want any unwanted clutter in your wedding photos.

  1. Relax and Enjoy the Day

Finally, it’s important to remember to relax and enjoy your day. Put your trust in your vendor team, as we all want nothing more than for you to have the best day ever. So, take a deep breath and savor each moment, knowing that everything will be taken care of and captured for you to cherish for a lifetime.

I hope these tips help make your wedding morning as smooth and seamless as possible. Happy planning!
